Sun Soaked

If there's one thing I learned growing up on Lake Mendota, its that I could never live too far from the water. There's nothing more therapeutic than spending the day on the beach. And what does every beach go-er need? A cute outfit.

Sure, the adorable swimsuit is the main focus, but since moving to the land of 10,000 lakes I've been spending a lot of time on various beaches during the summer, some even right in the middle of the city! Let me tell you, there's a lot more to it than just the suit. That's why I never go to the beach without a cute hat and a cover up. You never know if you'll need to make a quick shopping trip or a stop at happy hour after laying out all day!

I kept this in mind for my trip to San Fransisco, unfortunately no matter how many times I visit I'm always surprised by how chilly it can get. So when Chelsea and I went to the beach for a day I not only forgot my hat but also a sweater for the cooler weather! Luckily, my big sister saved the day with her floppy hat and cute cardigan. I only wish I had been able to sneak both in my suitcase before my flight home... Maybe next time!
