My lovely sister reminded me yesterday that it has been over a month since I posted last... I can't believe it's almost April! These past few months have just been flying by, and I have been busier than ever!

One of my biggest projects lately has been redoing my apartment. I often experience something similar to a "7 year itch" when it comes to my space, although in my case it's more like a one year/six-month kind of a thing. I start cheating on my apartment by search for an upgrade with period details, exposed brick, bay windows, beautiful light, all the things my apartment lacks... Anyway, over the years I have found a much cheaper and less stressful way of dealing with this desire to change spaces every year; enter the five R's: Redesign, Re-purpose, Revamp, Recycle and Rearrange.

This time around I started with my couch and revamped. I like my couch; I just wasn't in love with it, so I followed a quick tutorial (found here) and added some nail head trim and decorative upholstery nails to give it new life and a little pizzazz!

It was fairly simple and I'm in love with the end result! In fact, after the couch I moved on to my desk chair and a few other things in my space that I will definitely share when they are complete. In the process of this DIY I thought of several other ways to spruce things up around my place. So, as I implement all of the 5 R's and complete the ever growing list improvements to my tiny home I will make every effort to share my projects, and as always, comments appreciated!
