Today is my parents 36th wedding anniversary! I wanted to post a picture of them on their wedding day, but my selection of family photos is pretty limited... However, what I do have captures their personalities quite well. Cheers to you Mom & Dad! I wish you many more wonderful years to come! Love, Chels
I am fairly sure the goofball of the family is easy to spot here.

Pre-organized
I have sort of a love hate relationship with my apartment... When it's clean and organized, I LOVE it, and when it's not, I search on Craigslist for new places to live. I find the best way to curb these, somewhat unnecessary thoughts of moving is to reorganized some furniture and spruce things up a bit. This weekend I spent ALL day Saturday and most of Sunday cleaning, rearranging and organizing. The end result, although not completely finished is one hundred times better than before. I can't wait to photograph my new space and share it with everyone! Here are a few pics of my favorite nooks before the "renovation" this weekend, as well as some design inspiration to fuel your creativity!
I replaced most of the existing (boring) light fixtures, and chose options that add a little fun and color!
Shelving has been a HUGE space saver, especially when you have very little space to begin with... A common problem in San Francisco.
Love my Anthropologie pillows and fabulous framed print!

Ode to wooden necklaces...
If I had to pinpoint where most of my style inspiration came from I would have to say my childhood. My mother has always had great style! I remember so many of my parents clothes from growing up, and I think they influence me more than I realize. In my teens I would sneak into my mom's room to look through her jewelry, and sometimes "borrow" a few pieces. One of my favorites is her (my) wooden beaded necklace, seen below.
I LOVE it! Unfortunately... so does my sister. Since I am seven years older I pretty much confiscated all of the really great pieces before my sister even realized this was an option. On our last vacation in Hawaii I came across some fabulous wooden beads and decided to make my sister my version of the necklace we both love so much. As it turns out, I love this one too! I have since made two or three similar versions for myself, and to post here for sale in the coming weeks.
In addition, I recently found this great Linea Pelle belt which also reminds me of several my mom used to have! I also added a few other great finds for summer, like my new floppy hat, and denim shirt for covering up when the sun goes down.

Strolling on Sacramento
"In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different."

On my walk home from work I pass though one of the greatest shopping areas in San Francisco, Sacramento St. There are a few windows that always spark my inspiration, whether it's the latest trends, fresh new designs, or the words of an icon. By the time I arrive home my mind is filled with creative new ideas for the next day.
